Roger Linn, the designer/innovator of the MPC-60, introduces his new musical instrument, which is seemingly unnamed as of now but is commonly being referred to as the “LinnStrument” around the web. From what I’ve read, he wanted to keep this thing under the radar and away from public eye until its completion but is currently in need of funding to get this prototype moving along to the next step. Looks like you could get some wild ambient effects out of this thing, it will be interesting to see where/what this ends up becoming. Kinda crazy to see that the innovator behind the revolutionary hip hop sampler is an old white dude that I feel like I’ve seen chillin’ at a Starbucks somewhere.

The homie Indy Sparks (from Raleigh, North Carolina)who designed my More Than Music album cover and this web page did this drawing of Phonte from Little Brother. He’s mad talented and is working on making connections with (established) artists to do work for them. He definitely has the talent for it, don’t you think? This post is mostly for my reference so I don’t lose it. This was made by Indy Sparks, check his artwork out, he’s the best graphic design turned MC I know. I still haven’t figured out where I would put it on this site. I am definitely making a new header, so maybe I’ll use it for that.
