If you want your album or song posted peep the post on the Cosmic Souls Collective site. From now on, The Soul Dojo will be all beats and very few songs.
I felt the need to make some changes in the content of this site. Originally, it was just going to be updates on me etc.. but that’s boring. I feel like producers get the short end of the stick [||] when it comes to getting posted on blog sites. I can’t even estimate how many times a track I’ve produced has been posted with no credit given to me. So I’ve decided to do something about this. Producers, not emcees who make a couple of beats on the side, submit your beats to The Soul Dojo’s dropbox. I like to make the distinction between producers/beatmakers and emcees who make mediocre beats for fun. I’m not dissin’ anything, but c’mon dog. The point is to help get producers more exposure, there are a million more blogs for the emcees to promote their ish. So I’ve included the proper steps to getting your beats/remixes/etc posted below:
- Upload your beat/remix to Soundcloud.com you can do this if you have an account or by uploading it directly to our DropBox.
- Email me a photo of you (TheSoulDojo@Gmail.com) where the width is atleast 450px.
- Be sure to include your contact information in the email!!!! myspace link, twitter, anything. If I post your song and no one knows how to contact you then what’s the point? Also make sure your name is in there clearly so I know what email goes to which dropbox submission.
- If you complete these steps AND your beat or remix is dope you’ll get posted. I’m a little slow on posting sometimes so just wait it out. Thanks.
EDIT: Oh yeah. Producers, protect yourselves pelase. If you are afraid of being beat jacked its not my fault if you didn’t tag your beat haha.
